Relax

Relax... a great word for a bank holiday weekend. The weather hasn't been as great as it could have been, but we had  good time at our 'home' footie tournament yesterday, and have been swimming and just chilling out at home today, which means  I got some scrapping done!

Relax is also the title of this layout which I did for challenge #106 at Creative Scrappers.

A scrap lift

I don't often scrap lift pages...not sure why because there are so many fab ones out there, but one of Angies  called 'chillin in spring' really caught my eye....

and here's my take on it.... I think the way the title is done is what caught my eye the most...I knew it would fit well with this photo. Thanks so much for the inspiration Angie!

Old times

I've just finished this layout to fit in with sketch #050 at twisted sketches...I'm not sure that I'm that happy with it really.....

Sketchy Thursday 5.13

I'm a bit late with this one, since this week's sketch is up already!,  but thought I'd put it on the blog anyway!

Big (huge!) apple

During the Easter break we went to Cothele house, which is very local to us. It has a very old orchard there and also a newly planted one, which because it's so new only has very small trees at the moment, so to make it more interesting there is this great big apple in the centre and also some willow sculptures....It's really lovely.

Great sketch!

I have had fun playing around with this sketch from Sketchy Thursday.

Here's the LO I came up with...

It documents Dan's reluctance to have photo's with characters on our last Disney trip! He's such a great sport!

What is it about Wednesday?

By late afternoon on Wednesday during an average working week I always feel completely worn out! Why is that? More than any other time of the week I feel tired and grumpy, and I always feel like I need a glass of wine and /or a nibble of something sweet or chocolatey! Well, this evening I have done both, I've had  lovely glass of very chilled chenin blanc, and a banana muffin....and do you know what?...., I feel better for having them both!!! Not sure how I'll  feel about that when I step on the scales at the weekend though!

Castle

There's a fab sketch challenge at sketchy thursday at the mo, this is the sketch...

And here's my take on it.

I managed to use my new Martha Stewart doily lace punch, and used up some older papers and embellishments too! I really like circular elements on my pages at the moment!

Onwards and upwards

Spurred on by finally getting a scrapbook layout done at the weekend, I decided to keep going and this is what I came up with (Mainly using up bits n pieces from old scrapagogo kits) speaking of which, a new one will be popping through my letterbox very soon...Yipee!

Soaked

Blimey has it been a week since I last blogged? Where does time go I wonder? I could do with 36 hours days some times!

I've done little by way of scrapping, because I've had so little spare time and then when I have had chance I've lacked inspiration....however, help was at hand in the form of Create & Co with a great sketch to get me going again. Here's what I came up with... Thanks girls!

Tower of Terror

I'm so happy to be getting so many of our Florida holiday photo's scrapped.
This one is based on sketch 4.29 at Sketchy Thursday.   I seem to be turning to Kraft cardstock more and more at the moment, I really like the look it gives to my layouts. I'm also trying to use up some of my older stash since I just keep buying new stuff, the older stuff has been piling up! So apart from my monthly scrapagogo kit, I'm trying not to buy any more stash for a while....wonder how long that will last?!!!
