New Scanner

Having got a new scanner last week I set to work scanning in and re-printing older photos from our family albums for scrapping. It's so nice to have a close look at photos from few years ago and I've got loads of images I eventually want to scrap....I just need 48hour days now!

This first LO however is a digi photo, but from about 3 years ago!
I've used the March scrapagogo kit....Love the scenic route tree paper!

This one is using scanned photos from early 2002 of my two little cheeky monkeys!
This LO is from the February scrapagogo kit.....I wasn't sure about this kit when it first arrived, but I have done loads with it and decided I really liked it after all!

Finally for today is LO with photos from 1999, when my son Dan was born.

Bazzill cardstock, DCWV patterned paper.

Super Cute

A quick LO of my super cute nephew playing footy.
He's so fast, it makes it difficult to get a decent piccies of him...we took over 200 to get a handful of half decent piccies!
He loves to play ball...(although he calls it a 'bomb'!!)
I think you'll agree he is super cute though!

A 'Just because' Card!

I made this card just because I could....not for a challenge, or because I needed one to send, I just made it for the fun of it! It's a bit different from my usual style, but I really like the calm colours.

Arty Girlz Challenge #27

The challenge is to make a card in chocolate colours....yummy!
I picked MM paper, Hero Arts cupcake stamp and sentiment, and made the scalloped edge with my corner rounder. The scalloped circle is the super duper woodware punch.

I'm off to Plymouth shopping now, Beth has some 'build a bear' vouchers she is itching to spend!
See ya later.

Where did that week go?

I can't believe it's a whole week since I last blogged....I feel like I've been in a bit of a time warp!! We had a lovely family Easter weekend, lots of scrummy food, great company and generally chillin out......NO SNOW though grrrrr! I would have loved the kids to do their Easter egg hunt in the snow, but sadly it wasn't to be.

Anyway, I did manage a bit of scrappin'. I've not done any LO's for a couple of weeks, so to do some today was soooo nice.

This one is using a mixture of Feb/March kits from scrapagogo. I love the colours of these two kits and thought elements of them combined so well.

These next two are also using my kit from scrapagogo, but just March this time, with the odd extra bit from my general stash!

Finally a random LO catching up some photo's from last year, my son's Taekwondo grading.

It's been a lovely day, I spent the morning at playgroup with the toddlers I childmind doing lots of nice Easter themed stuff. It was so nice to see some sunshine again today too!
That's it for today, hope the sun has been shining wherever you are!

Anyway this card is for the challenge over at Artygirlz the challenge is to make a card that features stars.

This next card is for the first ever challenge from Cute Card Thursday the challenge being to make a card about new beginnings, so here's mine

Create a card for cancer care

I picked up some special bags at my local art shop to donate some of the cards I make for Marie Curie cancer care.....http://www.create-a-card-for-cancer-care.org/ .
Why not have a look and donate some too?

My paper world

Hiya! I've been busy again and managed to get another couple of challenges done.

This first is for a sketch challenge at My paper world , I loved this sketch, very simple, but quite effective I think.

This next one is for a challenge set by rainbow lady to make a card with a pocket. The photo makes it look a bit wishy washy, but hey ho nevermind!

That's it for now, see ya soon.

What an awful day!

It's hardly stopped raining and the wind is howling....got soaked doing the school runs today too, yuck!

Here's a card I made for a challenge at Cards by Carolyn the challenge was to make a card using some acetate. I've used opaque acetate which I stamped with tiny flowers and cut out a large flower shape from, I used Luxe designs paper and prima flowers, oh and a cuttlebug embossing folder.

I hope you're not getting too battered by the weather where you are....thankfully we don't need to go anywhere tonight so we'll be home by the fire watching a movie I guess.... maybe with a nice glass of wine mmmmmm!

PIF

I received this lovely PIF today from Jilli Thank you! Lots of yummy stuff to play with!

So, if I'm not mistaken I need to offer three more PIF's on my blog, so the first three comments to this post will receive a PIF from me!

Challenges for the day!

I spent some time today playing catch-up on some challenges.

Beth was with me in the craft room, so we took turns in choosing the music....so unfortunately for part of the afternoon I was subjected to Hannah Montana! She likes it though, but then she is only 8!

Anyway, here's a card I did for the 'Goes without saying' challenge over at Just Bex

This next one is for the 'sping' challenge at Arty Girlz

I also did this one for the 'transportation' challenge at caardvarks

Challenge cards again!

Feeling happy today! It's cold but sunny and bright and I've already had a nice walk to liven me up.

I've used DCWV papers, nestabilities and Heros Arts stamps, the button was from an old cardy!

This next one is for papertake weekly challenge The challenge this week is simply 'squares'
Brenda Pinnick paper, Hero Arts Stamps and cuttlebug embossing folders.

And finally for today a card for the recipe challenge at crafts by carolyn

DCM challenge card

Blogging two days together...Wow!
Two cards to show today, my first one is for this weeks daring card makers challenge

Lythan said.......
My theme this week is
I am woman
As its coming up to Mothers day in the UK here’s a chance to make a card that celebrates women and girls . So I’d like to see a card with at least one feminine image on it . And that's it for rules really.Apart from this one.And it is sneaky. No Tildas, Sugar Nellies or Bellas please. I love them all. But there are loads of great challenges out there using them so for this challenge you can give them a well earned rest!

So I've used a Penny Black image stamp, Hero Arts sentiment stamp, Brenda Pinnick paper, and Prima flowers.

My second card is a get well greeting for a friend of mine who's a bit poorly just now.
Not sure about the stamp (got the image in a swap!) could be Penny Black though?
Embossed card with my cuttlebug and used another Hero Arts sentiment stamp.
Hope you like it!

Happy Mother's Day!

And what a lucky one I am too.....brekkie in bed, warm croissants and bucks fizz, and some gorgeous cards made by my two little darlings and flowers, chocs, handmade gifts and some fabby Hero Arts clear stamps (which I can't wait to use!)

Here they are........

Oh, just realised the cards are not on there, will photograph them and upload them later, ooops!

Here's a card I did for a challenge at JustBex theme was 'Get Girly', so I think this fits the bill OK. I love this Penny Black stamp and I used more 'old' making memories paper which I had forgotten I had until having a sort out the other day.

And finally a little piccie of some coconut ice sweets Beth made for her Nan today!
Don't they look yummy?

Couple of cards and a layout

Well, I finally got around to making my mum a Mothers day card today...after I cleared up the devastation in the craft room that my kids had made making me cards!...and I thought I was was messy!

This is the card I made.....hope she likes it.
I used a Penny Black stamp and some fairly old Brenda Pinnick papers.

Whilst I was in the mood to make cards I made one for the papertake weekly challenge too

This is a Funstamps stamp and yet more Brenda Pinnick paper (using up some stash before buying to much new!)

And finally a layout I finished today too. Beth at Black Park in half term.

Bazzill card, K&Co paper and Rub-ons, Nestability dies and some hand doodling!
