Paris (in Florida!)

Just a super quickie to post another layout I did based on this weeks sketch at Pencil Lines...

The need for speed

Ah Sunday! I love Sundays it's always a relaxed day around here for us, we often go for a swim straight after breakfast then have a light lunch followed by whatever we want to do and then a nice family meal in the evening. Today was no exception, we've had our swim and lunch, the boys are watching the F1 GP and me and Beth are just gonna make a moussaka for later so that we can spend some time in the craft room together later. I think we're maybe gonna bake some cakes too, so that we'll have some goodies to take out on picnics this coming week.

Anyway, over at sassy lil' sketches this week is this sketch...

And here's my take on the sketch (only two photo's though which I suppose is cheating!)

This sketch was great for using up loads of leftover bits of patterned paper that have been piling up on my desk!

Stuck?!

I've found another sketch challenge blog called Stuck?! , they have a great sketch there at the moment and I thought it was perfect for the photo's I wanted to scrap of my guys and their quest to collect pressed coins....

m&m heaven

I just finished doing this layout about our visit to the m&m shop in a mall in Orlando. We were in there ages, and bought quite a lot of choccie too!

Relax

Relax... a great word for a bank holiday weekend. The weather hasn't been as great as it could have been, but we had  good time at our 'home' footie tournament yesterday, and have been swimming and just chilling out at home today, which means  I got some scrapping done!

Relax is also the title of this layout which I did for challenge #106 at Creative Scrappers.

A scrap lift

I don't often scrap lift pages...not sure why because there are so many fab ones out there, but one of Angies  called 'chillin in spring' really caught my eye....

and here's my take on it.... I think the way the title is done is what caught my eye the most...I knew it would fit well with this photo. Thanks so much for the inspiration Angie!

Big (huge!) apple

During the Easter break we went to Cothele house, which is very local to us. It has a very old orchard there and also a newly planted one, which because it's so new only has very small trees at the moment, so to make it more interesting there is this great big apple in the centre and also some willow sculptures....It's really lovely.

Castle

There's a fab sketch challenge at sketchy thursday at the mo, this is the sketch...

And here's my take on it.

I managed to use my new Martha Stewart doily lace punch, and used up some older papers and embellishments too! I really like circular elements on my pages at the moment!

Onwards and upwards

Spurred on by finally getting a scrapbook layout done at the weekend, I decided to keep going and this is what I came up with (Mainly using up bits n pieces from old scrapagogo kits) speaking of which, a new one will be popping through my letterbox very soon...Yipee!

Soaked

Blimey has it been a week since I last blogged? Where does time go I wonder? I could do with 36 hours days some times!

I've done little by way of scrapping, because I've had so little spare time and then when I have had chance I've lacked inspiration....however, help was at hand in the form of Create & Co with a great sketch to get me going again. Here's what I came up with... Thanks girls!

Poor neglected blog

I can't believe it's so long since I last came near this blog. We've had a really nice Easter break with lots of days out and then it was back to work last week, with me not even going into the craft room for two weeks!
Well I did have a couple of hours in there over the weekend, and did this layout to tie in with challenge 183 at Pencil Lines

This next one loosely fits the sketch for challenge 101 at Creative scrappers

Anyway, just a flying visit, gotta dash again! TFL x

Funny little guy

Just popped in to share a layout I did based on the sketch over at twisted sketches this week.  It's of my two children and their cutie pie cousin Ethan...he's a nightmare to get a photo of because he won't look at you when you are taking the shot, or he gets distracted and just giggles all the time and tries to rope the others in with his joke!

Converse All Stars

Dan loves his All Stars. He took these photo's for a still life project he was doing and I decided to make a quick collage in picasa to document them. The layout fits  in  with the sketch 4.1 at Sketchy Thursday.

Block party bash

I'm really enjoying scrapping the photo's from our Florida holiday, even though it was last November, it's great to 're-live' those days as I make the layouts. This one is based on the sketch #042 at twisted sketches, the twist is to include 'flight' in the page...mine is VERY tenuous...the link is a very small photo of Buzz Lightyear!

Quick post!

Time is just flying so fast at the moment! Just thought I'd pop in with a super quick post to share a layout I did from the Pencil lines 179 sketch....even though sketch 180 is up already!!!
