Busy busy busy

I can't believe it's been soooo long since I last blogged! I have been so busy with work and family life that I have had little time for anything else for quite a while.

Anyway, finally today I got a bit of spare time and made a couple of cards.

One for a wedding I'm going to soon and the other for friends who have just moved house.

A 'Just because' Card!

I made this card just because I could....not for a challenge, or because I needed one to send, I just made it for the fun of it! It's a bit different from my usual style, but I really like the calm colours.

New Home

Here's a little card I made for a friend who's moving house this week. It fits in with a challenge at Carolyns

I love this little house stamp from stamps away, I think it's really cute!

It's been a lovely day, I spent the morning at playgroup with the toddlers I childmind doing lots of nice Easter themed stuff. It was so nice to see some sunshine again today too!
That's it for today, hope the sun has been shining wherever you are!

Sunday bloggy Sunday

Where did the weekend go? I can't believe it's almost over...back to the grindstone tomorrow.

I've been busy making some cards over the past few days. I really wanted to do a couple of scrapbook pages, but just couldn't seem to get going.

Anyway this card is for the challenge over at Artygirlz the challenge is to make a card that features stars.

This next card is for the first ever challenge from Cute Card Thursday the challenge being to make a card about new beginnings, so here's mine

This final card is for a challenge at CPS I'm a week behind with this one they posted a new sketch today, but this card is for sketch #55

That's all for today. Enjoy what's left of the weekend.
Byeeeee.

Challenges for the day!

I spent some time today playing catch-up on some challenges.

Beth was with me in the craft room, so we took turns in choosing the music....so unfortunately for part of the afternoon I was subjected to Hannah Montana! She likes it though, but then she is only 8!

Anyway, here's a card I did for the 'Goes without saying' challenge over at Just Bex

This next one is for the 'sping' challenge at Arty Girlz

I also did this one for the 'transportation' challenge at caardvarks

Finally this next card is for the 'back to basics' challenge at Cards by Carolyn

That's all for now....byeeee.

Challenge cards again!

Feeling happy today! It's cold but sunny and bright and I've already had a nice walk to liven me up.

I've got a card here for the scrummy stash cafe
The theme is 'button it!'
I've used DCWV papers, nestabilities and Heros Arts stamps, the button was from an old cardy!

This next one is for papertake weekly challenge The challenge this week is simply 'squares'
Brenda Pinnick paper, Hero Arts Stamps and cuttlebug embossing folders.

And finally for today a card for the recipe challenge at crafts by carolyn

The recipe was to use scallops, ribbon and flowers.

I used Penny Black stamp, cuttlebug embossing folder, Heros arts sentiment, nestabilities.

That's it for today!
See ya!

DCM challenge card

Blogging two days together...Wow!
Two cards to show today, my first one is for this weeks daring card makers challenge

Lythan said.......
My theme this week is
I am woman
As its coming up to Mothers day in the UK here’s a chance to make a card that celebrates women and girls . So I’d like to see a card with at least one feminine image on it . And that's it for rules really.Apart from this one.And it is sneaky. No Tildas, Sugar Nellies or Bellas please. I love them all. But there are loads of great challenges out there using them so for this challenge you can give them a well earned rest!

So I've used a Penny Black image stamp, Hero Arts sentiment stamp, Brenda Pinnick paper, and Prima flowers.

My second card is a get well greeting for a friend of mine who's a bit poorly just now.
Not sure about the stamp (got the image in a swap!) could be Penny Black though?
Embossed card with my cuttlebug and used another Hero Arts sentiment stamp.
Hope you like it!
